Heirloom is een lineaire hanglamp die gebouwd is op rustige verfijning — een slank lichaam in gepatineerd messing met twee diffuse schermen langs een enkele horizontale lijn. Het resultaat is een lange, lage lichtwas die een keukeneiland of eettafel accentueert zonder de ruimte erboven te belasten.

Kies tussen twee verschillende schaduwmaterialen om de sfeer van uw ruimte aan te passen: een doorzichtige keramische scherm die warm opgloeidt als een lantaarn, of een gespoten aluminium scherm dat gericht, naar beneden gericht werkingslicht op het oppervlak werpt. Welke lengte moet ik kiezen voor mijn eettafel of eiland?

Een goed uitgangspunt is een armatuur van ongeveer 60–75% van de lengte van uw tafel of eiland. Voor een oppervlak van 150 cm (~60") kiest u de versie van 102 cm; voor 180 cm (~70") gaat u voor 120 cm; en voor 200 cm (~78") of langer geeft de 140 cm versie de meest evenwichtige lichtverspreiding zonder het oppervlak te overschrijden.

Keramieke lampenkap of aluminium lampenkap — welke moet ik kiezen?

Kies keramiek als u een zacht, ambient licht wilt dat de hele kamer verlicht — de lampenkap zelf doorlaat licht. Kies aluminium als u gericht, neerwaarts werkingslicht boven een keukeneiland of werkoppervlak wilt. Aluminium is ook lichter en meer schokbestendig tijdens transport en installatie.

Zijn gloeilampen inbegrepen? Welk type heb ik nodig?

Lampen zijn niet inbegrepen. Heirloom neemt twee lampen met middelgrote fitting (E26 in Noord-Amerika, E27 in Europa en het meeste van de wereld), maximaal 40W elk. Wij raden een 2700K–3000K warm-wit LED aan voor een klassieke eethoek. Voor dimmen gebruikt u een dimmer-compatibele LED-lamp in combinatie met een geschikte wanddimmer.

Hoeveel weegt het?

Het gewicht hangt af van de lengte en het materiaal van de lampenkap die u kiest. De aluminium-lampenkap versies wegen ongeveer 2,7 kg (6 lbs) bij 102 cm tot ongeveer ~4,3 kg (9,5 lbs) bij 140 cm; de keramieke-lampenkap versies zijn iets zwaarder, van ongeveer 3 kg (6,6 lbs) tot ~5 kg (11 lbs). Hoe verstelbaar is de ophanghoogte?

De ophangstang bestaat uit drie modulaire onderdelen — 29,5", 11,8" en 7,9" — die kunnen worden gecombineerd of afzonderlijk gebruikt. U kunt alle drie gebruiken voor een lange val in gewelfdplafonds, of alleen het kortste onderdeel gebruiken voor laagbouw kamers. Een typische val boven een eettafel laat de onderkant van de lampenkap 75–90 cm (30–36") boven het tafelblad.

Is professionele installatie vereist?

Heirloom is ingebouwd op een standaard plafond-verbindingsdoos, dus installatie door een erkend elektricien wordt aanbevolen — met name in regio's met codevoorschriften voor ingebouwde armaturen. Het bijgevoegde installatieblad behandelt bedrading, kap montage en staafmontage.

What are the shades made of? Are they genuine?

The shades come in three genuine materials, never resin or acrylic. Cloud stone (the Alabaster) is a naturally translucent mineral, hand-cut from quarried stone, so each piece carries its own veining and is one of a kind. Ceramic (the Heirloom and Bistro) is hand-formed and glazed. Aluminum is spun from a single sheet and hand-lacquered for a saturated, colour-rich finish.

What is the difference between the models?

They share the same hand-finished craft and differ in form and shade material. The Heirloom is the classic tiered silhouette and the Bistro a long, linear form for islands and longer tables — both in hand-glazed ceramic. The Alabaster uses sculptural cloud stone, and the Aluminum brings the same craft in lightweight, colour-rich spun aluminum. Choose the form for your space and the material for the look you want.

What size should I choose for my room?

As a general guide, add the room's length and width in feet and use that figure in inches as a target diameter — a 12×14 ft room suits roughly a 26″ fixture. Over a dining table, choose a width about one-half to two-thirds of the table width. Is the chandelier dimmable?

Dimming depends on your bulbs and switch. Fit dimmable LED or filament bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch to adjust the brightness; with standard non-dimmable bulbs the fixture runs at full output.

How do I clean and care for the shades?

Dust cloud stone with a soft, dry cloth; wipe glazed ceramic or lacquered aluminum with a dry or barely-damp cloth. For all three, avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents, or soaking — natural cloud stone is porous and harsh chemicals can mark any finish. Wipe metal parts gently with a dry or barely-damp cloth.

Does it require professional installation?

The chandelier ships with a canopy, mounting hardware, and an installation guide. Because it is hardwired, we recommend installation by a licensed electrician — particularly for the heavier stone models (the aluminum version is the lightest to hang).
