Which size should I choose for my room?
A common rule is to pick a chandelier roughly two-thirds the width of the table or the room's primary surface. For a 4-seat table or breakfast nook, the 6-head (25.6") works well. For a standard 6-seat dining table or average living room, the 9-head (31.5") is the most popular choice. For long 8+ seat tables, open-plan great rooms, or double-height entryways, the 12-head (39.4") gives the most balanced presence.
Should I choose Warm Gold or Matte Black?
Warm Gold brings a softer, glowing presence that pairs beautifully with neutral palettes, light woods, and traditional or transitional interiors. Matte Black reads as more architectural and graphic — ideal for modern, industrial, or high-contrast spaces with white walls or darker paneling. Both finishes are equally durable; the choice is purely about the mood you want.
Are bulbs included? What type do I need?
Bulbs are not included. Swoop Arm uses E14 candelabra base bulbs, up to 15W each — 6, 9, or 12 of them depending on the size you choose. We recommend 2700K–3000K warm-white LEDs for an authentic ambient glow. For dimming, pair a dimmer-compatible LED bulb with a compatible wall dimmer.
How high should the chandelier hang above a dining table?
For dining tables, the bottom of the chandelier should sit roughly 75–90 cm (30–36") above the tabletop. For living rooms or entryways with no surface beneath, leave at least 210 cm (~7 ft) of headroom from floor to the bottom of the fixture. Swoop Arm's standard 7.8" rod is designed for typical 8 ft (240 cm) ceilings — see the next FAQ if your ceiling is higher.
Can the suspension rod be extended for taller ceilings?
Yes. The standard 7.8" rod works for most 8 ft ceilings, but we can supply a longer rod on request — just note your ceiling height in the order notes or get in touch before purchase. This is a free customization and adds no production time.
Is professional installation required?
Swoop Arm is hardwired to a standard ceiling junction box. Because the 9-head and 12-head versions carry significant weight, we strongly recommend installation by a licensed electrician — particularly in regions with code requirements for hardwired fixtures. The included installation sheet covers wiring, canopy mounting, and arm assembly.
Can I install Swoop Arm on a sloped or vaulted ceiling?
The standard canopy is designed for flat ceilings. For sloped or vaulted ceilings, ask your electrician about a sloped-ceiling adapter compatible with the canopy mount — these are widely available and let the chandelier hang straight even when the ceiling is angled.
Where is Swoop Arm certified for use?
Swoop Arm is compliant with electrical certifications for North America, Australia, Europe, and the Middle East. Wiring will arrive ready for the destination market based on your shipping address.
