Heirloom est une suspension linéaire construite autour d'un raffinement discret — un corps en laiton vieilli et élancé suspendant deux abat-jour diffusants sur une ligne horizontale unique. Le résultat est un jeu de lumière long et bas qui encadre un îlot de cuisine ou une table à manger sans encombrer l'espace au-dessus.

Choisissez entre deux matériaux d'abat-jour distincts pour adapter l'ambiance de votre pièce : un abat-jour en céramique translucide qui brille d'une chaleur douce et lanterne-like, ou un abat-jour en aluminium filé qui projette une lumière de travail concentrée et dirigée vers le bas. Dans les deux cas, la canopée en laiton et la rosace au plafond garantissent une installation délibérée et architecturale.

Quelle longueur choisir pour ma table à manger ou mon îlot ?

Une règle courante consiste à choisir un luminaire d'environ 60–75 % de la longueur de la table ou de l'îlot. Pour une surface de 150 cm (~60"), optez pour la version 102 cm ; pour 180 cm (~70"), la version 120 cm ; et pour 200 cm (~78") ou plus, la version 140 cm offre la répartition lumineuse la plus équilibrée sans déborder de la surface.

Abat-jour en céramique ou en aluminium — lequel choisir ?

Choisissez la céramique si vous souhaitez une lueur douce et ambiante qui éclaire toute la pièce — l'abat-jour lui-même transmet la lumière. Choisissez l'aluminium si vous préférez une lumière focalisée et dirigée vers le bas pour un îlot de cuisine ou une surface de travail. L'aluminium est aussi plus léger et plus résistant aux chocs lors du transport et de l'installation.

Les ampoules sont-elles incluses ? Quel type ai-je besoin ?

Les ampoules ne sont pas incluses. Heirloom nécessite deux ampoules à culot moyen (E26 en Amérique du Nord, E27 en Europe et dans la plupart du monde), jusqu'à 40W chacune. Nous recommandons une LED blanc chaud 2700K–3000K pour une ambiance classique de salle à manger. Pour un variateur, utilisez une ampoule LED compatible avec variateur associée à un variateur mural compatible.

Quel est son poids ?

Le poids varie selon la longueur et le matériau de l'abat-jour choisi. Les versions à abat-jour en aluminium pèsent environ 2,7 kg (6 lbs) à 102 cm jusqu'à environ 4,3 kg (9,5 lbs) à 140 cm ; les versions à abat-jour en céramique sont un peu plus lourdes, d'environ 3 kg (6,6 lbs) jusqu'à environ 5 kg (11 lbs). Jusqu'à quel point la hauteur de suspension est-elle ajustable ?

La suspension utilise trois sections de tige modulaires — 29,5", 11,8" et 7,9" — qui peuvent être combinées ou utilisées individuellement. Vous pouvez installer les trois pour une suspension longue dans les plafonds cathédrale, ou utiliser uniquement la section la plus courte pour les pièces avec plafonds bas. Une suspension typique au-dessus d'une table à manger laisse le bas de l'abat-jour à 75–90 cm (30–36") de la surface de la table.

Une installation professionnelle est-elle requise ?

Heirloom est filaire et se fixe à une boîte de jonction de plafond standard, c'est pourquoi l'installation par un électricien agréé est recommandée — en particulier dans les régions ayant des exigences de conformité pour les luminaires filaires. La feuille d'installation fournie couvre le câblage, le montage de la canopée et l'assemblage de la tige.

Ceramic (the Heirloom and Bistro models) is hand-formed and glazed for a smooth, warm surface that turns light into a soft, even, milky diffusion.

Aluminum is spun from a single sheet of high-quality aluminum, then hand-lacquered — light enough to hang gracefully, yet sturdy enough to hold a flawless silhouette. It renders colour with a depth and saturation no plastic can match, and casts a crisp, focused pool of light below. Every shade is a genuine material — never a resin or acrylic imitation.

What are the shades made of? Are they genuine?

The shades come in three genuine materials, never resin or acrylic. Cloud stone (the Alabaster) is a naturally translucent mineral, hand-cut from quarried stone, so each piece carries its own veining and is one of a kind. Ceramic (the Heirloom and Bistro) is hand-formed and glazed. Aluminum is spun from a single sheet and hand-lacquered for a saturated, colour-rich finish.

What is the difference between the models?

They share the same hand-finished craft and differ in form and shade material. The Heirloom is the classic tiered silhouette and the Bistro a long, linear form for islands and longer tables — both in hand-glazed ceramic. The Alabaster uses sculptural cloud stone, and the Aluminum brings the same craft in lightweight, colour-rich spun aluminum. Choose the form for your space and the material for the look you want.

What size should I choose for my room?

As a general guide, add the room's length and width in feet and use that figure in inches as a target diameter — a 12×14 ft room suits roughly a 26″ fixture. Over a dining table, choose a width about one-half to two-thirds of the table width. Is the chandelier dimmable?

Dimming depends on your bulbs and switch. Fit dimmable LED or filament bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch to adjust the brightness; with standard non-dimmable bulbs the fixture runs at full output.

How do I clean and care for the shades?

Dust cloud stone with a soft, dry cloth; wipe glazed ceramic or lacquered aluminum with a dry or barely-damp cloth. For all three, avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents, or soaking — natural cloud stone is porous and harsh chemicals can mark any finish. Wipe metal parts gently with a dry or barely-damp cloth.

Does it require professional installation?

The chandelier ships with a canopy, mounting hardware, and an installation guide. Because it is hardwired, we recommend installation by a licensed electrician — particularly for the heavier stone models (the aluminum version is the lightest to hang).
