Le Lustre Swinton apporte une présence sculpturale et organique à toute pièce. Six à dix-huit bras métalliques courbes rayonnent vers l'extérieur, entourés de plusieurs rangées de tiges en bois blanchi. La construction multicouche confère à la suspension à la fois une échelle substantielle et une chaleur naturelle douce qui convient parfaitement aux intérieurs modernes, transitionnels et de style ferme.

Conçu pour ancrer un salon, une salle à manger ou une chambre, le Swinton fonctionne tout aussi bien comme pièce maîtresse dans les espaces ouverts ou comme point focal au-dessus d'une longue table. Disponible en finitions de cadre métallique Blanc et Noir, toutes deux associées au même bois blanchi.

Les ampoules sont-elles incluses ?

Non — les ampoules sont vendues séparément. Le Swinton accepte des ampoules E12 ou E14 à culot moyen d'une puissance maximale de 15 watts par douille. Choisissez la température de couleur (chaude ou froide) et la marque qui correspondent à votre espace.

Puis-je graduer cet luminaire ?

Oui. Le Swinton fonctionne sur des circuits d'éclairage avec variateur standard lorsqu'il est associé à des ampoules graduables compatibles. Si vous utilisez des ampoules LED, vérifiez que votre variateur est compatible avec des charges LED basse puissance.

Comment choisir la bonne taille ?

En général, les versions 6 têtes (D 50–60 cm) conviennent aux petites pièces, coins-repas et chambres. Les versions 12 têtes (D 80–90 cm) s'adaptent bien aux tables de salle à manger ou aux salons de taille moyenne. Les versions 18 têtes (D 100–150 cm) sont conçues pour les grands foyers, les espaces sur double hauteur et les grandes salles à manger.

La chaîne de suspension est-elle ajustable ?

Oui. La chaîne mesure 50cm / 19,7″ et peut être raccourcie par votre installateur pour ajuster la hauteur totale de suspension du luminaire selon votre plafond.

Les deux finitions sont-elles disponibles dans toutes les tailles ?

Oui — les deux finitions en métal Blanc et Noir sont disponibles dans les huit configurations de tailles. Les baguettes en bois blanchies à la chaux sont identiques sur chaque version.

A light fixture that reads as sculpture first — deliberately irregular, quietly organic, made entirely by hand in small runs.

Most chandeliers hide their structure behind glass and polish. The Tilda Cascade does the opposite: it puts its making on display. Staggered lengths of solid wood rise from a sweeping cage of looped metal rod, so no two viewing angles are quite the same.

Lit, warm light filters between the dowels and washes down the wire loops below. Unlit, it stands as a woven object — texture, shadow, and honest material.

From Rod & Timber to Finished Piece

Five stages, entirely by hand

Each fixture passes through the same five stages in our workshop. Nothing is stamped or moulded — every dowel is cut to length, and every loop is bent over a jig by the same maker who assembles it.

01Cut & Grade

Selecting and cutting the timber

Lengths of solid hardwood dowel are hand-selected for straight grain, then cut to a graded set of lengths. The staggered heights are intentional — they give the finished silhouette its uneven, growing-outward shape rather than a flat rim.

02Whitewash

Layering the whitewash finish

Each dowel is hand-brushed with a thinned lime whitewash, then wiped back so the grain still reads through. Several passes build a soft, chalky surface that keeps the warmth of wood — the reason the finish looks lived-in rather than painted.

03Form the Cage

Bending the metal armature

The lower cage is formed from lengths of steel rod, each bent over a jig into the long U-shaped loops that fan out beneath the wood. Bending by hand means every loop carries a slight individual spring — the gentle irregularity you can see across the base.

04Assemble

Building up the cascade

Dowels and loops are fixed to the frame one at a time, working around and upward. The maker steps back constantly, adjusting density and angle by eye so the piece stays balanced from every direction it will be seen.

05Wire & Test

Wiring and final inspection

Six candelabra sockets are wired through the core, then the fixture is hung, lit, and inspected under working conditions. Only after it holds a clean, even glow — with no dowel casting a hard shadow on another — does it earn its maker's mark.

Two Finishes, One Form

Choose the mood of the room

The same hand-built form is offered in two finishes. The whitewashed wood softens and brightens a space; the blackened version turns the piece graphic and architectural.

Two moods, one fixture

The same piece reads two ways — a warm glow when lit, a woven sculpture when off. Both shown in a real room.

Lit — a warm room

Switched on, warm light filters between the dowels and washes down the wire loops below, spreading a soft glow across the ceiling.

Off — an object

Unlit, it stands as a sculpture suspended in mid-air — texture, shadow, and honest material, quiet and worth a second look.

Two materials, each doing what it does best: solid wood for texture and warmth, steel rod for the strength to hold the cascade in mid-air.

Real timber, not veneer or resin — so the grain, weight, and whitewash are genuine throughout.

Hand-bent steel armature

Welded and formed rod carries the full load, keeping the wood purely expressive rather than structural.

Hand-applied finish

Every surface is finished by hand, so slight variation between pieces is expected — and part of the character.

Tested and hardwired

Wired for six candelabra bulbs and lit-tested before it leaves the workshop.
