Mirror-polished shade

The wide dome is polished in several stages to a mirror finish. Even switched off, it reflects the room like a small sculpture.

Solid wood stem

Turned from a single piece of solid wood and tapered toward the base, with a warm stain that lets the natural grain show through.

Low, steady chrome base

The wide, domed base keeps the weight low, so the lamp stays put when you reach over to switch it on.

Soft, downward light

The LED sits hidden inside the shade and casts light onto the surface below, while an inner diffuser softens it.

A wide shade, a slender stem and a steady base: the mushroom lamp is a classic silhouette that has endured since the last century. We kept those proportions and reinterpreted them in polished chrome and solid wood. The metal handles light and reflection; the wood brings warmth and touch.

Cool metal, warm wood

Chrome gives the lamp its crisp outline and reflections; the solid wood stem adds warmth and visible grain. Here's what each part is made of, and why.

Metal

The shade, finial, neck and base are formed from metal, polished in several stages, then chrome-plated. Chrome is hard and resists oxidation, so a dry cloth is all it takes to keep it bright.

Solid wood

The stem is solid wood, turned in one piece on a lathe rather than molded or veneered. A walnut-tone stain brings out the grain, sealed under a clear lacquer that resists fingerprints and moisture.

Crafted in six steps

From metal sheet and raw timber to a finished lamp that's lit, inspected and packed.

Spinning the shade
A flat metal disc spins at high speed and is pressed onto a form, little by little, until it becomes a seamless dome with no welds or joins.

Hand polishing
Every metal part is polished from coarse to fine. Plating magnifies any flaw beneath it, so this step decides how deep the final mirror finish looks.

Chrome plating
The polished parts are chrome-plated for a bright, durable surface, then checked one by one under light for pits or haze.

Turning the stem
Dried timber is turned on a lathe into a long taper, then bored through the center to carry the cord.

Sanding and finishing
The stem is sanded through progressively finer grits, stained, and sealed with lacquer for a smooth, even finish.

Assembly and testing
The lamp is wired, assembled and switched on, then passes [ELECTRICAL SAFETY TEST] and a visual inspection before it's packed.

Electrical insulation is tested to keep everyday use safe.
Salt-spray test
Sampled chrome parts are exposed to a humid, salty environment to check the plating's resistance to corrosion.
Wood moisture control
Timber is fully dried before turning, reducing the risk of cracking or warping later.
Tilt stability test
Tilted to an angle, the lamp rights itself instead of tipping over.
Carton drop test
Packed cartons are drop-tested to simulate shipping, then opened to confirm the structure and plating are intact.

Is it dimmable?
No, this lamp is not dimmable.
Will the chrome rust or tarnish?
Chrome is hard and corrosion-resistant, so it won't rust easily in normal indoor use. Avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners, and don't keep it in damp places such as a bathroom for long periods.
Does every lamp have the same wood grain?
Not exactly. The stem is turned from solid wood, so grain and tone vary slightly from piece to piece. That's a natural feature of real wood, not a defect.
Will the LED need replacing?
The LED is rated for about 50,000 hours, so it won't need replacing in everyday use. If it fails during the warranty period, please contact customer service.

Does the shade get hot?
It uses an LED, which runs far cooler than a traditional incandescent bulb, so the shade only gets slightly warm in normal use.
What voltage does it support?
