The walnut stem is turned to a tapering column, hand-sanded, then finished with thin successive coats of oil. Because the grain is natural, no two stems are exactly alike.

Finished Gold

The gold metalwork is machined, polished and assembled so the neck, stem and base line up cleanly — wired and individually power-tested before it ships.
