This lamp is ideal where you want a focused beam. I have it next to my husband's recliner and it bends over his chair giving him enough light to read or use his tablet.

Very nice chair side lamp

This is my 2nd of these lamps. I really like it for chair-side reading. Good lighting without being obtrusive to others. And its slight enough to not be obvious in my living room. I got tired of moving my 1st lamp around so I bought another one.
