Which size should I choose for my dining room or living room?

A common rule is to pick a chandelier roughly two-thirds the width of the table or the room's primary surface. For a 4-seat table or breakfast nook, the 3-head (59 cm / 23.2") works well. For a standard 6-seat dining table or average living room, the 6-head (84 cm / 33") is the most popular choice. For long 8-seat tables, open-plan great rooms, or double-height entryways, the 8-head (99 cm / 39") gives the most balanced presence.

Are bulbs included? What type do I need?

Bulbs are not included. Monique uses medium-base bulbs (E26 in North America, E27 in Europe and most of the world), up to 40W each — 3, 6, or 8 of them depending on the size you choose. We recommend a 2700K–3000K warm-white LED for an authentic vintage feel. For dimming, pair a dimmer-compatible LED bulb with a compatible wall dimmer.

How high should the chandelier hang above a dining table?

For dining tables, the bottom of the chandelier should sit roughly 75–90 cm (30–36") above the tabletop. For living rooms or entryways with no surface beneath, leave at least 210 cm (~7 ft) of headroom from floor to the bottom of the fixture. The fixed 50 cm (19.7") suspension rod plus standard ceiling height (~240 cm / 8 ft) generally produces this drop without modification.

Is professional installation required?

Monique is hardwired to a standard ceiling junction box. Because the 6-head and 8-head versions are heavy (~5.7 and ~7.2 kg respectively), we strongly recommend installation by a licensed electrician — particularly in regions with code requirements for hardwired fixtures. The included installation sheet covers wiring, canopy mounting, and arm assembly.

Can I install Monique on a sloped or vaulted ceiling?

The standard canopy is designed for flat ceilings. For sloped or vaulted ceilings, ask your electrician about a sloped-ceiling adapter compatible with the canopy mount — these are widely available and let the chandelier hang straight even when the ceiling is angled.

Where is Monique certified for use?

Monique is compliant with electrical certifications for North America, Australia, Europe, and the Middle East. Wiring will arrive ready for the destination market based on your shipping address.
